Journey back in time with our Green Team Guides to 1903 as guests get a rare behind-the-scenes look at Broadway’s oldest theater: The Hudson. This interior tour offers tour-goers an exclusive view of the nooks and crannies of this historic building that was restored in 2017 to its original glory after decades of narrowly avoiding demolition. Beginning in Times Square, tour-goers will be transported back to 1903 before stepping inside Hudson Theatre.
For over 100 years the theater’s walls have witnessed tragedy, gangsters, and legends of pop culture, music, and Broadway who created iconic moments amid the glow of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s original lighting. For an hour and forty-five minutes guests will bask in these stories told in the theatrical silence of an empty Broadway theater – a rare, one-of-a-kind experience to peek behind the curtain on Broadway! Utilizing iPads chock full of rarely seen photographs and videos from our intense research, tour-goers will see Hudson Theatre’s past and present merge before their eyes like never before.
The Green Team Guides are a group of working actors and stage managers who, in addition to our history and anecdotes, will share personal stories of their careers for an authentic, up close look at Broadway.
COVID-19 NOTE: Because this is an interior tour, all participants must show proof of vaccination to enter the theater. Before starting the tour your Green Team Guide will check for proof of vaccination. Your guide will wear a mask during the tour and will have a small microphone if needed. Every guest must wear a mask for the duration of the tour.
